Peril is an action adventure 2d platformer created using Unreal Engine 4. In this game the main character must battle through various worlds and defeat many enemies, all the while using a javelin as both a weapon and a tool to reach new places.

Wow, I think this is the first UE4 2D platformer on Itch I've seen! Nice!
I liked how the javelin could be used as a stepping stone in addition to a weapon. In fact, it was the only way I was able to get out of a few pits I had fallen into.
My only criticism is having the player start back at the beginning after dying. Yeah, all the enemies are dead, but it's still a lot of backtracking through terrain you've already seen.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. You're right about the starting back at the beginning if you die. I will have checkpoints in the final game for sure. I might put an update fixing that in the demo. Stats currently reset if you die as well. That too will be fixed in the final build. Appreciate you trying out the demo.
